The Mcusta Sengoku Busho series celebrates Japan’s most famous Samurai from the Sengoku Jidia (“Age of warring states”). These elegantly crafted knives show the beauty and history of Japanese culture while combining traditional elements into a sturdy and funtional linerlock folding knife.
The MC-183G commemorates Ieyasu Tokugawa (1543-1616), the founder and first Shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan, whose rule began with the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600. The handle is designed with the pattern of Samurai armor and laser engraved with “Ieyasu Tokugawa” and his family crest (Kamon).
Made in Seki, Japan, Mcusta combines modern technology with traditional Japanese craftsmanship to produce hand finished custom quality production knives. This knife measures 4.75″ long closed and features a SPG2 Steel blade with Red Pakkawood and Stainless liners handle.
Super Gold 2 (SPG2)
Through recent advances steelmaking technology, the powder steel is enabled to be manufactured which is rapidly solidified thorough a mist spray of liquid molten steel. High alloy cutlery steels have no segregation compared with the conventional air melt process. After the powder metallurgy process of compacting, sintering, and forged rolling, have being uniformed fine structure, good forgeability, and extremely good machinability. It is now possible to increase the proportion of highly alloyed elements at the melting stage; now super cutlery steels are available which were impossible to make in the past. We provide Super Gold 2 as our original super cutlery steel. Super Gold 2 satisfies the basic needs of the four major conditions for good cutlery. Because of Super Gold 2 which is also known as “powder stainless steel/high-speed steel”, it is derived from making stainless-steel (resistant to discoloration) as the first super special cutlery with existing high-speed steel features and properties through the powder metallurgical processed for refining the steel. This Super Gold 2 has the properties of high-temperature hardness without deterioration even after the application of ceramic coating and non-stick coatings.
