Crafted in the heart of Seki, the Japanese capital for sword and knife making for over 700 years, Yaxell Taishi knives have a VG10 super stainless steel core which is clad with stainless steel from both sides, providing superior corrosion resistance and strength. The knife blades have a hardness rating of 61 degrees on the Rockwell scale and each handle is made from black beech pakkawood. Yaxell Taishi Bread Knife 23cm features a serrated edge for clean, easy cutting that won’t crush your food.

Blade
The core material is VG10 “super stainless steel” which is clade (covered) by high quality stainless steel from both side. The KATANA sword wave line is clearly observed on the blade. Of course the blade has an extremely sharp cutting edge and long cutting performance.

3 Layers VG10 (Cobalt-molybdenum-Vanadium) Stainless steel.

Handle
The hande is made of EU food safe regulation approved black beech pakkawood which provides outstanding stability. Bolster and end cap are made out of high quality stainless steel  to ensure great balance for the whole knife.
